PLM Illumination lit the Rosie Hackett Bridge using bespoke LED light lines and MK4 handrail lights. The combination provided an outstanding result as well as unobtrusive illumination for those crossing over the bridge.
Rosie Hackett was a Trade Unionist who, in the early 1900s, helped changed the working conditions for thousands of women and later contributed to Ireland’s fight for freedom. In 1970, Rosie was awarded a gold medal for giving 60 years of her life to the Trade Union Movement. She later died at the age of 84 and it was decided recently that the new bridge over the river Liffey in Dublin was to be named in her honour.
